On a dull and overcast morning we walked from Reculver to Minnis Bay. Birds we saw included 484 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 1 male Goosander sitting on the sea off the Towers for 10 minutes, 13 Red-throated Divers, 1 Kestrel, 22 Redshank, 7 Sanderling, 30 Oystercatchers, 1 Kingfisher, 23 Corn Buntings, 12 Shelduck, 3 Curlew, 8 Mallard, 1 Short-eared Owl by the Wantsum, 2 Wigeon, 12 Mute Swans, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Little Egret, 8 Turnstone, 2 Stonechats, 2 Cetti's Warblers and 10 Skylarks and 2 Grey Herons.
