It was a beautiful, sunny morning with a light westerly breeze blowing as we walked along the seawall from Reculver to Coldharbour. Birds we counted included 4 Shelduck, 9 Linnets W, 16 Oystercatchers, 7 Redshank, 1 male Shoveler, 88 Corn Buntings, 11 Turnstone, 9 Mallard, 1 Little Egret, 1 White Wagtail, 2 Pied Wagtails, 4 alba Wagtails flying W, 1 Tree Sparrow, 4 Stonechats, 1 very flighty male Wheatear (122nd), 4 Ringed Plovers, 4 Chiffchaffs in the bushes along the seawall, 2 Greylag Geese, 2 Coot and 2 Goldfinches.

This afternoon, after work, Marc Heath cycled from the Towers to Coldharbour and recorded 99 Turnstone, 9 Ringed Plovers, 3 Short-eared Owls, 100 Corn Buntings, 3 Great Crested Grebes, 46 Oystercatchers, 22 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 1 Pale-bellied Brent Goose, 34 Redshank, 32 Sanderling, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Greylag Geese, 1 Marsh Harrier, 9 Curlew, 1 White Wagtail and 1 Little Egret.
