We spent another warm morning ringing this time at Shuart where we saw 3 Green Woodpeckers, 4 Grey Herons, 2 Greylag Geese, 2 Green Sandpipers, 2 Ring-necked Parakeets, 2 Great White Egrets flying steadily W, 4 Blackcaps, 2 Grey Wagtails, 9 Whitethroats, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 12 Reed Warblers, 4 Sedge Warblers, 5 Cetti's Warblers, 7 Robins, 1 Sparrowhawk, 11 Mallard, 1 Golden Plover, 18 Goldfinches, 1 Marsh Harrier, 2 Common Buzzards, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Whinchat and 2 Kestrels. We also saw one Clouded Yellow butterfly.
Birds ringed 44: Wren 5, Whitethroat 7, Reed Warbler 8, Sedge Warbler 2, Grasshopper Warbler 1, Chaffinch 2, Blackcap 2, Robin 3, Cetti's Warbler 1, Reed Bunting 3, Goldfinch 5, Great Tit 1, Whinchat 1, Greenfinch 1, Blackbird 2.
