We spent a cloudy morning ringing at Shuart where we saw 11 Bramblings, 2 Sparrowhawks, 22 Fieldfares, 23 Redwings, 40 Blackbirds, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Peregrine, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Green Woodpecker, 19 Skylarks W, 20 Lapwings, 1 Water Rail, 3 Little Egrets, 52 Chaffinches, 2 Kestrels, 2 Corn Buntings, 119 Starlings W, 3 Jays, 6 Ring-necked Parakeets, 1 Common Buzzard, 8 Goldfinches, 1 Serin flying W and calling (192nd), 1 Golden Plover and 5 Grey Herons.
Birds ringed 39: Wren 1, Robin 3, Reed Bunting 7, Chaffinch 4, Cetti's Warbler 1, Dunnock 1, Song Thrush 2, Blackbird 20

This afternoon Matt walked from Reculver to Chamber's Wall and recorded 70 Chaffinches, 6 Gannets, 226 Brent Geese, 1 Fieldfare, 6 Stonechats, 1 Corn Bunting, 1 Woodcock, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Wigeon, 3 Red-throated Divers, 3 Rock Pipits, 460 Starlings, 1 Eider, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Green Woodpecker, 19 Lapwings, 1 Peregrine, 6 Great Crested Grebes, 63 Redshank, 92 Mallard, 1 Teal, 4 Shelduck, 2 Little Egrets, 350 House Sparrows, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Bramblings and 1 Grey Wagtail.
