On a beautiful spring morning I walked from Chamber's Wall to the Oyster Farm lagoons and recorded 7 Whitethroats, 4 Blackcaps, 9 Cetti's Warblers, 8 Linnets, 10 Sedge Warblers, 1 Willow Warbler, 8 Goldfinches, 17 Stock Doves, 4 Little Egrets, 7 Shelduck, 3 Redshank, 4 Common Terns (152nd), 2 Tufted Duck, 20 Corn Buntings, 6 White Wagtails, 1 Rock Pipit doing its display flight, 41 Turnstone, 2 Pied Wagtails, 8 Oystercatchers, 3 Yellow Wagtails, 1 Wheatear, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Stonechat, 6 Ringed Plovers, 3 Mallard, 1 Kestrel and 2 Chiffchaffs.

Derek Smith was also out this morning and walked from Shuart and along the embankment to Coldharbour, Plumpudding and Netherhale. Birds he saw included 3 Little Egrets, 5 pairs of Tufted Duck, 1 pair of Gadwall, 1 Marsh Harrier, 2 Common Buzzads, 2 adult Mediterrnanean Gulls E, 1 Whimbrel, 2 Lapwings, 1 Ring Ouzel on the railway embankment, 3 Yellow Wagtails W, 1 Tree Pipit W, 1 Stonechat, 38 Whitethroats 27 Sedge Warblers, 2 Reed Warblers, 156 Blackcaps, 6 Willow Warblers, 13 Chiffchaffs, 1 Brambling and 4 Corn Buntings

Marc Heath arrived at Chamber's Wall at 0530 and walked to the Tower and returned along the railway embankment. He counted 1 Common Buzzard, 5 Skylarks, 2 Reed Warblers, 6 Song Thrushes, 3 Blackcaps, 15 Sedge Warblers, 6 Whitethroats, 7 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Red-legged Partridge, 2 Chiffchaffs, 4 Coot, 10 Linnets, 5 Great Crested Grebes, 6 Oystercatchers, 4 Redshank, 6 Ringed Plovers, 9 Shelduck, 11 Corn Buntings, 2 Wheatears, 17 Stock Doves, 1 Snipe, 4 Little Egrets, 4 Stonechats, 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Common Terns, 2 Rock Pipits, 2 White Wagtails, 2 Yellow Wagtails, 20 Turnstone, 6 Dunlin, 3 Sanderling, 1 Lapwing, 3 Tufted Ducks and 1 Marsh Harrier.
