We spent the morning ringing at Reculver where the highlight was catching the Siberian "tristis" Chiffchaff that we heard calling yesterday. We heard its typical piping "peeoo" throughout the morning.

Other birds we saw during the morning included 2 Green Woodpeckers, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Common Buzzards, 2 Water Rails, 4 Goldcrests, 6 Long-tailed Tits, 1 Dartford Warbler, 2 Siskins, 2 Corn Buntings, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 350 Woodpigeons, 1 Peregrine, 1 Yellowhammer, 1 Golden Plover and 2 Grey Wagtails.

Birds ringed 15: Common Chiffchaff 1, Siberian Chiffchaff 1, Chaffinch 1, Lesser Redpoll 1, Reed Bunting 1, House Sparrow 2, Song Thrush 1, Blackbird 5, Corn Bunting 2.
