April 27th
It was a disappointing, foggy morning that was more about hearing than seeing. We walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and counted 12 Whitethroats, 10 Goldfinches, 3 Swallows, 19 Sedge Warblers, 11 Reed Warblers, 3 Skylarks, 7 Chaffinches, 6 Linnets, 2 Cuckoos, 2 Chiffchaffs, 3 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Oystercatchers, 1 Little Egret, 1 Common Tern, 4 Mallard and 1 Sparrowhawk.
During the afternoon 5 Red Kites flew W and there were 2 Grey Partridges at Reculver.
