April 3rd
The morning began foggy but soon turned into a beautiful early spring day. We walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and along to the Oyster Farm and saw 2 Willow Warblers, 18 Linnets, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 3 Chiffchaffs, 1 Blackcap, 6 Sedge Warblers, 2 Mute Swans, 26 Mallard, 5 Shelduck, 1 Green Woodpecker, 12 Redshank, 2 Pied Wagtails, 1 Snipe, 18 Oystercatchers, 18 Turnstone, 6 Ringed Plovers, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 first winter Yellow-legged Gull (135th), 4 Little Egrets, 1 singing male Stonechat, 1 Short-eared Owl, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Shoveler, 1 Swallow W, 2 Dunlin, 8 Corn Buntings, 3 Goldfinches and 12 Chaffinches.

Later at Reculver we saw 1 Common Buzzard, 2 Chiffchaffs, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Blackcaps, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Kestrel, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Coot, 11 Mallard and 1 Willow Warbler.
