The threatened rain appeared to have moved along the Channel without reaching us this morning as we walked from Chamber's Wall to Oyster Farm. We counted 8 Chiffchaffs, 5 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Sparrowhawks, 4 Chaffinches, 2 Kestrels, 171 Swallows W, 205 House Martins W, 1 Sand Martin W, 1 Goldcrest, 3 Mallard, 2 Common Buzzards, 26 Goldfinches, 2 Shoveler, 6 Coot, 2 Oystercatchers, 1 Golden Plover, 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls, 4 Meadow Pipits, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egrets, 1 Redshank, 2 Stonechats and 1 Tufted Duck.
