This afternoon Matt walked from Bishopstone and along the cliff top to Reculver and counted 312 Chaffinches flying W, 4 Bramblings, 6 Rock Pipits, 2 Sandwich Terns, 60 Carrion Crows, 1 Common Tern, 32 Gannets flying E, 1 Kingfisher, 12 Redwing, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Jay and 6 Grey Partridges.
Chris Tedder had a brief walk at the Oyster Farm and Saw 1 Rock Pipit, 4 Stonechats, 15 Meadow Pipits, 3 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Red-throated Diver, 5 Gannets E, 11 Sandwich Terns W, 7 Grey Herons, 5 Little Egrets and 1 Peregrine. On her return walk she saw a small bird on the sea with a Black-headed Gull that turned out to be a Redwing. The gull moved closer and made a grab for the Redwing but it managed to escape losing its tail in the process and just about reached the rocks on shore.
