With the overnight rain having cleared away it was sunny this morning with a westerly gale blowing as we arrived at Minnis Bay at 0700 and completed a two and a half hour seawatch. We counted 45 Gannets, 27 Sanderling, 12 Sandwich Terns W, 1 Red-throated Diver, 2 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Little Egret, 4 "Commic" Terns W, 11 Common Terns W, 2 Curlew, 1 Dark-bellied Brent Goose, 3 Mediterranean Gulls W, 9 Ringed Plovers, 42 Oystercatchers, 17 Crossbills W, 1 Swallow, 1 Rock Pipit, 7 House Martins and 1 large auk E.
