September 21st
With a fresh north wind blowing we arrived at Reculver early for a seawatch which was very slow. After this Matt covered the Reculver area and between us we recorded 17 Wigeon, 11 Great Skuas W, 12 Sandwich Terns, 5 Arctic Skuas W, 71 Brent Geese, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Pintail, 8 Common Scoter, 1 Little Gull, 2 Gannets, 2 Grey Wagtails, 27 Swallows, 16 Common Terns, 1 Arctic Tern (174th) , 1 Pied Flycatcher, 7 Chiffchaffs, 5 Shoveler, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 8 Goldfinches, 15 Jays, 5 Pied Wagtails, 3 Wheatears, 2 Whitethroats, 1 Firecrest, 105 Meadow Pipits, 1 Whinchat and 11 Grey Partridges.
