On a bright, breezy and mild morning we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour and back. Birds we saw included 349 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 14 Mute Swans, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Little Egret, 3 Ringed Plovers, 8 Cormorants, 23 Redshank, 7 Grey Plovers, 2 Stonechats, 64 Oystercatchers, 24 Linnets, 2 Shelduck, 35 Lapwings, 38 Carrion Crows, 2 Marsh Harriers, 31 Great Black-backed Gulls, 31 Mallard, 2 Curlew, 1 male Red-breasted Merganser W, 12 Reed Buntings, 11 Chaffinches, 5 Goldfinches, 2 Little Grebes and 10 Meadow Pipits.
