June 4th
An overnight change in the weather brought damp, misty conditions to Reculver this morning as we walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and the Oyster Farm lagoons. Birds we saw included 2 Blackcaps, 5 Whitethroats, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 7 Linnets, 4 Little Egrets, 8 Oystercatchers, 22 Mallard, 3 Turnstone, 4 Ringed Plovers, 2 Grey Partridges, 1 Barn Owl hunting over the Oyster Farm lagoons and Green Wall, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Tufted Ducks and 1 Kestrel.

Ringed Plover - a good reason to keep off the beach above high water mark at this time of year
