October 15th
On a muggy and mainly overcast morning we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour and saw 1 Kestrel, 145 Linnets, 2 Rock Pipits, 14 Dark-bellied Brent Geese W, 19 Teal, 21 Gannets E, 16 Ringed Plovers, 1 male Common Scoter, 6 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Red-throated Diver, 1 Dunlin, 37 Turnstone, 26 Meadow Pipits, 5 Redshank, 5 Stonechats, 16 Cormorants, 2 Little Egrets, 1 Golden Plover, 30 Wigeon, 7 Corn Buntings, 26 Reed Buntings, 6 Oystercatchers, 1 Grey Partridge, 11 Mallard, 1 Curlew, 1 Grey Heron and 12 Goldfinches.
This morning Marc Heath had a Brambling in the trees at Reculver School.
Chris Tedder walked from Reculver to Coldharbour this afternoon and recorded 2 Rock Pipits, 1 Wheatear, 6 Stonechats, 22 Meadow Pipits, 5 Little Egrets, 3 Red-throated Divers, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Teal W, 1 Wigeon W, 180 Oystercatchers, 5 Sandwich Terns, 1 adult Mediterranean Gull E, 64 Mallard, 1 Kingfisher, 29 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 4 Corn Buntings, 8 Reed Buntings and 2 Short-eared Owls.
