January 30th
We didn't get any overnight snow, just rain, and this morning dawned bright with a bitter WNW wind blowing. We walked from Reculver to Coldharbour and recorded 79 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 1 Common Scoter, 45 Red-throated Divers, 1 Kestrel, 1 Marsh Harrier, 2 Little Grebes, 1 Great Northern Diver, 1 adult male Peregrine, 30 Mallard, 1 Ringed Plover, 7 Grey Plover, 93 Oystercatchers, 2 Stonechats, 17 Corn Buntings, 2 Turnstone, 1 Curlew, 2 Snow Buntings, 84 Carrion Crows, 5 Shelduck, 1 Little Egret and 2 Redshank.
Later Matt discovered a Common Treecreeper (107th) singing at Reculver.
