May 13th
It was cloudy this morning with a chilly N wind blowing as we walked out to Coldharbour. We recorded 2 Blackcaps, 10 Skylarks, 12 Whitethroats, 7 Sedge Warblers, 8 Reed Warblers, 2 Linnets, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Cuckoos, 1 Common Tern flying inland to the Stour Valley, 8 Mallard, 12 Mute Swans, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 4 Goldfinches, 2 Corn Buntings, 2 Coot, 2 Ringed Plovers, 2 Swallows, 6 Meadow Pipits, 17 Turnstone, 7 Sanderling, 3 Oystercatchers, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 1 Common Buzzard.

This afternoon we had a walk inland at Reculver and recorded 2 Blackcaps, 6 Reed Warblers, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Whitethroats, 2 Common Buzzards, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Kestrel, 1 male Marsh Harrier, 2 Shelduck, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and 1 Moorhen.
