May 7th
On a beautiful spring morning we walked out on the Marsh and recorded 1 Moorhen, 2 Blackcaps, 21 Whitethroats, 6 Swallows, 10 Reed Warblers, 2 Little Egrets, 10 Skylarks, 11 Sedge Warblers, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Chiffchaff, 7 Goldfinches, 5 Mallard, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 7 Linnets, 6 Reed Buntings, 3 Shelduck, 4 Yellow Wagtails, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Redshank, 2 Coot, 1 Greenshank, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Wheatears, 1 Swift, 3 Gannets E, 2 Ringed Plovers, 2 Sand Martins, 2 Common Terns, 8 Turnstone, 1 Shoveler, 1 Greylag Goose and 4 Chaffinches.

Marc Heath recorded 2 Red Kites flying W over Hillborough at lunchtime.
