We arrived at Reculver just as the overnight rain cleared away over Thanet and we walked up to Coldharbour and saw 5 Pied Wagtails, 8 Chiffchaffs, 1 Kingfisher, 9 Mute Swans, 72 Golden Plovers, 2 Kestrels, 2 Grey Herons, 27 Reed Buntings, 4 Little Egrets, 10 Swallows W, 14 Turnstone, 8 Meadow Pipits, 26 Goldfinches, 33 Mallard, 24 Linnets, 5 Oystercatchers, 2 Coot, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 52 Ringed Plovers, 1 Little Owl seen by Fran Partrdge, 2 Sanderling and 1 Curlew.

Derek Smith was out birding between 0830 and 1230 at Shuart and along the railway embankment and counted 38 Skylarks flying SW, 18 Pied Wagtails flying W, 6 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 4 Redpoll flying W, 16 Blackcaps, 65 Chiffchaffs and 8 Goldcrests.
