We spent a sunny morning ringing on the Marsh south of the railway and saw 14 Long-tailed Tits, 230 Cormorants flying out to sea at dawn, 170 Fieldfares, 50 Chaffinches, 2 Goldcrests, 2 Yellowhammers, 26 Corn Buntings, 2 Grey Partridges, 110 Golden Plovers, 30 Redwings, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Mallard, 17 Tree Sparrows, 2 Kestrels, 3 Siskins, 12 Blackbirds, 2 Bramblings, 1 Chiffchaff, 5 Song Thrushes including a Dutch ringed bird, 19 Skylarks and 30 Reed Buntings.
Birds ringed 42: Goldcrest 2, Wren 2, Chiffchaff 1, Robin 1, Chaffinch 5, Reed Bunting 24, Blue Tit 2, Great Tit 1, Linnet 1, Blackbird 2, Corn Bunting 1.

This afternoon whilst walking at Reculver, Matt recorded 1 drake Velvet Scoter (202nd) together with 3 Common Scoter.
