February 1st
It was a thoroughly unpleasant morning with a cold northerly breeze blowing non-stop drizzle in off the sea and making it difficult to see anything through our binoculars. With the tide out we only managed to count 3 Shelduck, 474 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 4 Mute Swans, 8 Oystercatchers, 18 Mallard, 12 Teal flying W, 1 Curlew, 25 Ringed Plover, 2 Redshank and 6 Meadow Pipits.
