March 14th
I had an early morning text from Matt to say he had just found a Black Brant amongst the 450 Dark-bellied Brent Geese at the Wantsum outflow. Luckily for us it was still there when we arrived an hour later and showed well in the bright sunshine and I managed to get some photos.

Other birds we saw included 2 singing Chiffchaffs, 3 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Little Owl, 2 Rock Pipits, 1 adult Mediterranean Gull flying W, 1 Redwing, 2 Redshank, 4 Ringed Plovers and 3 Turnstone.
Dave and Sarah Smith had a stroll at Reculver and their highlights were 32 Russian White-fronted Geese, 3 Stonechats and 1 Fulmar.
