Matt spent the morning ringing south of the railway where he recorded 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 8 Yellow Wagtails, 12 Whitethroats, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 1 juvenile Nightingale, 1 juvenile Common Redstart, 12 Sedge Warblers, 14 Reed Warblers, 2 Common Tern and 1 Grey Heron. He also saw his first Migrant Hawker of the year.

Later at Reculver he saw 13 Tufted Ducks, 5 Greylag Geese, 2 Little Grebes and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
