We spent an increasingly hot morning ringing at Reculver but stopped ringing mid morning to avoid the worst of the heat. Birds we saw included 10 Willow Warblers, 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Redshank, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Common Sandpipers, 36 Coot, 39 Mallard, 8 Tufted Duck, 5 Little Grebes, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 9 Sand Martins, 20 Linnets, 3 Green Woodpeckers, 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 2 Common Buzzards, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 6 Chiffchaffs, 1 Grey Heron, 4 Greenshanks flying W, 4 Blackcaps, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Pied Flycatcher (170th) and 1 Marsh Harrier.
Birds ringed 34: Chiffchaff 3, Wren 3, Willow Warbler 6, Blackcap 5, Cetti's Warbler 3, Reed Warbler 5, Robin 1, Sedge Warbler 1, Whitethroat 1, Goldfinch 1, Blue Tit 2, Great Tit 1, Pied Flycatcher 1, Blackbird 1.
