October 10th

With a fresh NW wind blowing this morning Dave Smith, Matt and I had an underwhelming seawatch at Reculver. Between 0645 and 1030 we counted 622 Herring Gulls flying W, 3 Curlew, 10 Gannets W, 3 Wigeon W, 5 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 3 Common Scoter, 4 Sandwich Terns, 2 Rock Pipits, 2 Red-throated Divers, 2 Arctic Skuas E, 6 Common Terns W, 2 Arctic Terns W, 1 Grey Plover, 1 Knot, 1 Golden Plover, 4 Chiffchaffs and 4 Swallows.
