April 9th
On a damp and breezy morning we had a bit of a surprise at Shuart where a tinkling bell alerted us to an escaped Harris's Hawk. Other more expected sightings included 2 Mistle Thrushes, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Ring-necked Parakeets, 2 Goldfinches, 2 Blackcaps, 1 Raven and 2 Long-tailed Tits.

As the rain increased we had a look at Reculver and found 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Chiffchaffs, 1 Green Woodpecker, 9 Tufted Ducks, 2 Swallows, 8 Sand Martins, 3 Mallard, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 3 Blackcaps, 14 Mute Swans and 4 Goldfinches.
