January 10th
With a fresh NW wind blowing we had an uneventful one and a half hour seawatch at the Towers with Chris Tedder. All we managed to count were 18 Red-throated Divers, 417 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 9 Common Scoter E, 21 Grey Plover W and 4 Great Crested Grebes.
After this we had a walk out onto the Marsh and recorded 1 Redwing, a scarce bird here at the moment, 5 Mute Swans, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Marsh Harriers, a flock of 26 Linnets and 1 Chiffchaff.
Also this morning, Mike Roser found 2 Lapland Buntings still near Coldharbour.

Today I received information about a first year Sedge Warbler we ringed on Reculver Marshes on 26th August 2019. It was controlled at Tour aux Moutons, Donges, Loire-Atlantique, France on 8th September 2019 and had flown 508 km SSW.
