 August 13th

We had considered having another ringing sesson at Reculver this morning but when we woke up the weather looked too threatening so Anne and I went for an early morning walk instead. Between Chamber's Wall and Coldharbour we counted 5 Goldfinches, 16 Linnets, 1 Pied Flycatcher in bushes by the crossing, 3 Swallows, 2 Willow Warblers, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Golden Plovers, 5 Little Egrets, 4 Coot, 8 Redshank, 6 Yellow Wagtails, 5 Reed Warblers, 11 Mallard, 1 Mediterranean Gull W, 72 Ringed Plovers, 26 Sanderling, 2 Teal, 18 Turnstone, 1 Pied Wagtail, 2 Sandwich Terns, 6 Gannets W, 1 Oystercatcher, 8 Whitethroats and 1 Sedge Warbler.
