 August 9th

On a surprisingly humid morning there was quite a northerly breeze blowing as we walked from Chamber's Wall up to the Oyster Farm. We saw 3 Reed Warblers, 21 Linnets, 1 Golden Plover, 14 Little Egrets, 14 Redshank, 1 Mallard, 1 Wood Sandpiper flying over Coldharbour calling and then inland, 20 Oystercatchers, 2 Curlew, 16 Turnsone, 13 Ringed Plovers, 8 Great Black-backed Gull, 6 Sandwich Terns flying E, 1 Gannet flying E, 1 Mediterranean Gull flying E, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Kestrel, 1 juvenile Kittiwake flying E, 1 Grey Heron, 1 juvenile Yellow-legged Gull, 1 adult Common Gull, 1 Green Woodpecker, 3 Swallows and 4 Mute Swans.
