October 9th
We arrived at Reculver late this morning as I had to take my car to Canterbury for its MOT and a service. We eventually arrived at a sunny Reculver at about 0915 and walked inland and counted 4 Pied Wagtails, 12 Chiffchaffs, 2 Grey Herons, 4 Blackcaps, 5 Mute Swans, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Crossbill calling loudly and flying NW, 6 Song Thrushes, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Coot, 2 Siskins, 8 Robins, 4 Swallows, 17 Goldfinches and 2 Sandwich Terns out by the red buoy.
There were also still good numbers of Migrant Hawkers and Red Darters taking advantage of the warm and sunny conditions.
