November 15th

After the diabolical weather of this morning with gale force southerly wind and heavy rain we didn't venture out until after lunch when the wind had dropped and the sun had come out. We visted Reculver where a great many other people had had the same idea but in half an hour we did manage to see 1 Great Crested Grebe flying W, 3 female Common Scoter flying W, 21 Sanderling, 1 male Red-breasted Merganser sitting on the sea just offshore before flying W, 3 Gannets flying E, 2 Dunlin and 1 Kestrel.
