April 14th

On another warm and sunny morning I walked from Chamber's Wall to Plumpudding and back along the seawall. I counted 5 Blackcaps, 41 Linnets, 20 Goldfinches, 10 Whitethroats, 7 Chiffchaffs, 16 Cetti's Warblers, 6 Willow Warblers, 21 Sedge Warblers, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Kestrel, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker flying W, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 pairs of Lapwings, 1 Swallow W, 8 Ringed Plovers, 5 Mallard, 8 Pied Wagtails, 3 White Wagtails, 3 Yellow Wagtails, 1 Wheatear, 14 Oystercatchers, 15 Redshank, 14 Turnstone, 3 Sanderling, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Corn Buntings and 3 Coot.

I met Alex Perry on the railway embankment and after he left to cycle back to Reculver he heard and then saw a Ring Ouzel near the Oyster Farm.
