It felt more autumnal this morning as we walked from Chamber's Wall to the Wantsum outflow. There was a steady westerly movement of Swallows that gradually built up to a stream by the time we arrived home. Birds we saw included 4 Chiffchaffs, 1 Willow Warbler, 88 Golden Plovers, 230 Swallows W, 4 Sand Martins W, 5 Cetti's Warblers, 6 Linnets, 2 Blackcaps, 4 Greenfinches, 10 Goldfinches, 15 Mallard, 1 Kestrel, 15 Coot, 3 Stonechats, 3 Redshank, 23 Meadow Pipits W, 1 Sandwich Tern, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Oystercatchers, 11 Ringed Plovers, 3 Turnstone, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Marsh Harrier, 6 Corn Buntings, 1 Kingfisher and 1 Grey Wagtail.
