September 5th

This morning we walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and recorded 9 Swallows, 6 Linnets, 85 Golden Plovers, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 5 Coot, 3 Whitethroats, 12 Goldfinches, 2 Kestrels, 6 Corn Buntings, 9 Redshank, 1 Little Egret, 2 Dunlin, 41 Oystercatchers, 1 Curlew, 5 Sandwich Terns W, 1 first year Mediterranean Gull, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Knot flying W, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Reed Warblers, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Turtle Dove, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and 1 Green Woodpecker.

First year Mediterranean Gull

Julian Perry found a Spotted Flycatcher at the Chamber's Wall car park.

Dave Smith was out at 0600 for his regular walk from Shuart and recorded 5 Mute Swans, 19 Mallard, 2 Teal, 8 Red-legged Partridges, 4 Stock Doves, 1 Turtle Dove, 14 Oystercatchers, 9 Golden Plover, 99 Ringed Plovers, 13 Black-tailed Godwits, 13 Turnstone, 2 Sanderling, 3 Dunlin, 1 Mediterranean Gulls, 1 Sandwich Tern, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egrets, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Barn Owl, 2 Kestrels, 1 Hobby, 7 Reed Warblers, 3 Sand Martins, 17 Swallows, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcaps, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Whitethroats, 1 Pied Flycatcher, 1 Wheatear, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 6 Corn Buntings.
