On a wet morning we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour and back and counted 11 Mallard, 8 Tufted Duck, 3 Little Egrets, 4 Common Scoter E, 6 Green Sandpiper, 8 Ringed Plovers, 1 Grey Plover, 3 Whitethroats, 6 Cetti's Warblers, 5 Turnstone, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 7 Oystercatchers, 2 Whimbrel, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 1 Rock Pipit, 1 male Wheatear, 5 Gannets E, 2 Common Terns, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Short-eared Owl, 2 Swallows and 1 Chiffchaff.
Dave Smith was out early and walked from Shuart to Plumpudding in the rain and his highlights were 9 Teal, 2 Grey Partridges, 2 Grey Plovers, 2 Ringed Plovers, 1 Whimbrel, 17 Bar-tailed Godwits W, 19 Turnstone, 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Redshank, 1 Willow Warbler and 3 Yellow Wagtails.
It was drier this afternoon so we had a walk at Reculver and saw 2 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Mallard, 2 Reed Warblers, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Pied Wagtails and 12 Sand Martins.
