This evening I received the ringing information of two birds we have caught in the last few days. The first was a first year Grey Wagtail that we controlled on September 12th that had been ringed as a pullus in the nest at Busketts Lawn Inclosure, Hampshire on 29th May and had flown 199 km ENE to reach Reculver. The other bird was a first year Chiffchaff we controlled today at Reculver that had been ringed as a juvenile on July 2nd at Chew Valley Lake, Bath and N. E. Somerset. It had flown 269 km E to reach Reculver.
