There was a chilly south-easterly wind blowing this morning as we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour. We saw 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Pied Wagtails, 6 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Mallard, 14 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 8 Oystercatchers, 3 Little Egrets, 9 Redshank, 1 Curlew, 49 Turnstone, 3 Shelduck, 2 Coot, 1 Sanderling and 1 Kestrel.

Matt walked from Reculver to Plumpudding and back along the embankment and counted 15 Chiffchaffs, 24 Cetti's Warblers, 7 Stonechats, 1 Wheatear, 70 Linnets, 2 Corn Buntings, 5 Shelduck, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Greylag Goose, 1 Snipe, 1 Bearded Tit, 1 Siskin, 1 Rock Pipit, 5 Little Egrets, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Green Woodpecker, 14 Magpies E, 10 Lapwings, 1 Blackcap singing along the embankment, 2 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Marsh Harriers and 15 Dark-bellied Brent Geese.
Derek Smith was also out and walked from Shuart, along the railway embankment and on to Coldharbour and as far as Brooksend. He saw 2 Canada Geese E, 1 Greylag Goose E, 2 Shelduck, 2 Tufted Duck, 3 Little Egrets, 1 Cattle Egret still at Netherhale, 2 Marsh Harriers, 6 Common Buzzards, 2 Kestrels, 13 Lapwings, 2 Curlew, 1 Blackcap singing along the embankment, 1 Siskin S and 2 Corn Buntings.
