We spent an overcast morning ringing at Shuart where we saw 31 Fieldfares, 151 Redwings, 25 Song Thrushes, 15 Blackbirds, 2 Lesser Redpolls, 1 Barn Owl, 3 Cetti's Warblers, 51 Lapwings, 32 Skylarks, 31 Greylag Geese, 5 Ring-necked Parakeets, 2 Kestrels, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 49 Mallards, 1 Stonechat, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Marsh Harrier, 64 Chaffinches, 1 Corn Bunting, 2 Sparrowhawks, 40 Reed Buntings, 1 Water Rail, 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 18 Siskins, 24 Linnets and 100 Stock Doves.

Birds ringed 44: Chaffinch 6, Reed Bunting 16, Blue Tit 2, Brambling 1, Robin 1, Dunnock 2, Song Thrush 7, Redwing 2, Blackbird 7.

 Brendan Ryan visited the area again this morning and recorded 2 Little Egrets, 2 Grey Herons, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Marsh Harriers, 1 Common Buzzard, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 2 Kestrels, 2 Peregrines, 3 Ring-necked Parakeets, 2 Jays, 21 Blue Tits, 6 Skylarks, 1 Bearded Tits, 18 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Chiffchaffs, 5 Cetti's Warblers, 11 Goldcrests, 4 Firecrests, 12 Mallard, 1 red-head Goosander in a ditch by Plumpudding Stables, 1 Ring-necked Parakeet, 2 Red-legged Partridges, 90 Stock Doves, 1 Grey Plover, 89 Lapwings, 1 Curlew, 2 Dunlin, 2 Purple Sandpipers, 2 Mediterranean Gulls, 2 Great Black-backed Gulls, 3 Gannets, 110 Redwing, 15 Fieldfares, 22 Robins, 3 Stonechats, 11 Pied Wagtails, 30 Meadow Pipits, 1 Rock Pipit, 2 Bramblings, 1 Hawfinch, 45 Linnets, 6 Lesser Redpolls, 35 Goldfinches, 8 Siskins, 1 Corn Bunting and 18 Reed Buntings.
