It was a windless morning with the tide out as we walked along the seawall from Reculver to the Wantsum outflow. Birds we counted included 15 Skylarks W, 7 Cetti's Warblers, 7 Robins, 3 Grey Herons, 1 Kestrel, 29 Meadow Pipits, 60 Starlings W, 3 Stonechats, 12 Goldfinches, 9 Corn Buntings, 78 Linnets, 14 Redshank, 4 Reed Buntings, 34 Oystercatchers, 1 Curlew, 7 Mute Swans, 7 Mallard, 16 Cormorants, 5 Sandwich Terns E, 2 Great Crested Grebes, 19 Ringed Plovers, 13 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 2 Red-throated Divers, 45 Carrion Crows and 1 Grey Plover.
