September 14th
This morning Matt walked from Reculver to Bishopstone and back and saw 1 Common Scoter, 4 Chiffchaffs, 8 Pied Wagtails, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 80 Linnets, 1 Grey Heron, 4 Whinchats, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Little Owl, 3 Wheatears, 1 Little Egrets, 11 Swallows, 2 Stonechats, 50 Meadow Pipits, 1 Kingfisher, 4 Kestrels, 1 Blackcap, 2 House Martins, 1 Jay, 1 Common Buzzard, 2 Hobbies, 1 Grey Wagtail and 1 Green Sandpiper.
Derek Smith met Kerry McDonnell this morning and walked from Shuart to Coldhatbour and back by way of Potten Street. They saw 5 Common Buzzards, 6 Kestrels, 1 Peregrine, 1 Whimbrel, 2 Kingfishers, 5 Common Redstarts, 35 Robins, 11 Whinchats, 10 Wheatears, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 6 Blackcaps, 25 Chiffchaffs, 1 Spotted Flycatcher and 2 Pied Flycatchers.
