November 30th
Another cold and windy morning and another two hour seawatch from The Towers. It was a bit better than yesterday with birds moving predominantly W and we counted 243 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 1 first winter Mediterranean Gull, 51 Red-throated Divers, 5 Common Scoter, 89 Gannets, 1,214 Cormorants, 2 Curlew, 7 Shelduck, 1 Great Northern Diver, 31 Lapwings, 1 male Eider, 2 Great Skuas, 3 large auks W, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Pintail, 4 Wigeon, 4 Redshank, 8 Dunlin, 1 Knot, 101 Common Gulls, 250 Herring Gulls, 1 Turnstone, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Sanderling, 1 Gadwall and 1 Great Crested Grebe E.
We then drove to Chamber's Wall and walked out to Coldharbour and saw 24 Fieldfares, 7 Redwings, 1 Sparrowhawk, 86 Carrion Crows, 3 Golden Plovers, 56 Mallard, 12 Wigeon, 120 House Sparrows, 3 Shelduck W, 2 Little Egrets, 6 Redshank, 6 Oystercatchers, 1 Bar-tailed Godwits, 2 Sanderling, 1 Curlew, 37 Lapwings W and 1 Knot.
This afternoon, at a bitterly cold Minnis Bay, we saw a Great Skua flying E along the shore frightening all the gulls, 60  Dark-bellied Brent Geese and 3 Snow Buntings.
