 September 1st

Reculver had returned to normal this morning after the crowds of holiday makers and cyclists that had descended on it over the last month or two. It was nice to walk from Reculver to Coldharbour and back with only the regulars for company in overcast conditions with little wind.

Birds we saw included 5 Pied Wagtails, 8 Mute Swans, 4 Wheatears, 5 Oystercatchers, 24 Cormorants, 62 Linnets, 4 Little Egrets, 12 Swallows W, 19 Ringed Plovers, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Whitethroat, 6 Goldfinches, 1 Grey Wagtail flying W, 11 Turnstone, 1 Kestrel, 2 Redshank, 19 Golden Plover and 2 Coot.
