 September 2nd

On a beautiful, early, autumn morning there had been a small arrival of migrants that had been missing in the last couple of days. On our walk from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and on to the Oyster Farm we saw 2 Mute Swans, 2 Grey Herons, 3 Chiffchaffs, 86 Linnets, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 7 Blackcaps, 14 Whitethroats, 37 Goldfinches, 2 Grey Wagtails flying W along the embankment, 2 Swallows, 6 Reed Warblers, 3 Willow Warblers, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 11 Teal, 2 Kestrels, 18 Turnstone, 9 Redshank, 6 Little Egrets, 59 Golden Plover, 1 Pied Wagtail, 62 Ringed Plovers, 4 Avocets flying W at Coldharbour, 3 Swifts, 1 Stonechat, 1 Curlew and 2 Coot.
