On an overcast morning we walked at Chamber's Wall where we saw 3 Cuckoos, 8 Reed Warblers, 1 Swallow, 4 Sedge Warblers, 1 Kestrel, 7 Whitethroats, 3 Yellow Wagtails, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 6 Goldfinches, 2 Chiffchaffs, 4 Mallard, 3 Skylarks and 3 Greylag Geese.

A Red Kite flew W at Bishopstone this afternoon.

We received an interesting control of a Sedge Warbler today showing the speed of spring migration. We ringed it at Reculver on Sunday 5th May and it was controlled the next day, Monday 6th May, at Wintersett Reservoir, Wakefield, West Yorkshire and had flown 306 km NW overnight.
