May 23rd
It was another lovely morning as we walked from Chamber's Wall to the Oyster Farm where we found the star bird of the morning. It was another Stone-curlew following on from the one we discovered on 2nd May. This one was very flighty and flew out of the dried up Oyster Farm lagoons before doing a couple of circuits and then flying west. It seems possible that these are Norfolk birds migrating north overnight and reaching Reculver first thing in the morning to have a rest and feed.
