October 7th
After an early morning downpour it was not too bad when we arrived at Reculver this morning. There was not a great deal to see, just 8 Pied Wagtails, 30 Chaffinches , 1 Kestrel, 5 Mute Swans, 1 Wheatear, 19 Meadow Pipits, 2 Brent Geese, 10 Cormorants, 1 Little Egret, 9 Swallows and 1 Redshank.

This afternoon Matt and Anne walked from Shuart to the sea and saw 2 Common Buzzards, 4 Kestrels, 2 Goldcrests, 1 Brent Goose, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 23 Sanderling, 2 Ringed Plovers and 3 Stonechats.
This evening Mark Chidwick found a Black Redstart by the Towers and refound the Snow Bunting along the beach.
