March 11th
Just as we were leaving for Reculver I had a call from Julian Perry who said he had just had a Common Treecreeper (116th) fly in off the sea and over his head before landing on the Towers and climbing up. Unfortunately when we arrived it had gone, obviously moving inland to more suitable habitat.
We walked around the Oyster Farm lagoons and then inland and saw 630 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 30 Redshank, 1 Little Owl, 12 Mute Swans, 6 Shelduck, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Kestrels, 2 Ringed Plovers, 6 Oystercatchers, 2 Little Egrets, 8 Mallard, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 1 Stonechat, 30 Golden Plovers, 8 Cormorants, 1 Barnacle Goose, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 16 Tufted Duck and 4 Coot.
