With limited time this morning we arrived at a miserable and murky Reculver and walked around the area. Bird of the morning was our first Wheatear (119th), found earlier by Julian below the cliffs at the western end of the promenade. Other birds seen included 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Black Redstart, 491 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 6 Mute Swans, 8 Cormorants, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Little Egret, 1 Barnacle Goose still with the Brent Geese and 2 Mallard.
During the day Anthea Skiffington and Bob Dewire had 9 female Eiders fly in from the E and land on the sea near Coldharbour.
