Matt started early this morning and walked from Shuart to the sea. The first bird he saw was a singing Treecreeper after which he counted 1 Green Woodpecker 2 Common Buzzards, 13 Song Thrushes, 12 Chaffinches, 30 Starlings, 3 Chiffchaffs, 3 Marsh Harriers, 3 Grey Herons, 40 Brent Geese, 27 Mute Swans, 12 Teal, 2 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Grey Partridges, 17 Magpies, 1 Grey Wagtail, 11 Meadow Pipits, 1 Jay and 4 Ring-necked Parakeets.

He then drove over to Reculver where we met him at 0800 and then walked around the Oyster Farm lagoons. Birds we saw included 311 Brent Geese, 15 Redshank, 8 Mute Swans, 18 Golden Plovers, 8 Shelduck, 12 Linnets, 13 Snipe, 3 Little Egrets, 1 Scandinavian Rock Pipit, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Mallard, 4 Pied Wagtails, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Grey Partridges, the wintering Common Sandpiper, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 male Black Redstart.
This afternoon Marc Heath saw a Little Ringed Plover (120th) fly out of the Oyster Farm.
