April 16th
With the weather reverting to a normal April morning with sunshine and a cool ENE breeze we walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and then visited Reculver on the way home. Birds we saw included 1 Common Redstart, 3 Blackcaps, 4 Chiffchaffs, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 10 Linnets, 5 Sedge Warblers, 12 Mute Swans, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Shoveler, 5 Coot, 4 Oystercatchers, 8 Redshank, 42 Turnstone, 1 Fulmar E, 2 Ringed Plovers, 1 Curlew, 7 Mallard, 2 Cuckoos, 1 Marsh Harrier, 3 Swallows, 1 Little Grebe, 16 Tufted Duck and 1 Green Woodpecker.
This morning Micky Baldock had a Firecrest singing briefly at Bishopstone Glen.
